According to the authorities, 45-year-old Dr. Raja Jagtiani, who was already facing multiple sex crime charges, was taken into custody again this week after he got involved in more sex crimes.
Bergen County prosecutors told that Jagtiani was arrested on Wednesday and locked up in jail on 3 counts of criminal sexual contact.
He was taken into custody earlier in the month of August when an employee told the investigators that the doctor sexually harassed her by touching her breast and biting her cheek while they were working at his Bergenfield medical office in the month of July.
He was charged for:
- 5 counts of criminal sexual contact
- 3 counts of harassment by offensive touching
- 1 count of assault
3 more victims of sexual harassment were identified by investigators after the doctor’s arrest and they all claimed that he harassed them.
Now his charges have increased to:
- 8 counts of criminal sexual contact
- 3 counts of harassment by offensive touching
- 1 count of assault
His bail was set at $50,000 which he posted and was released; he is summoned to court on 7th of October.
